Graffiti is much maligned, a sign of depressed economies and neighbourhoods. But graffiti lends itself to great picture taking opportunities.

Farokh > My wife is shopping, which is really fantastic. Some of my best pictures have been taken while she shops.

This picture was taken in New York city. This store front is located between two very pristine stores.

There I am, camera mounted on a tripod, aiming, contemplating, focusing, looking. I took a couple of shots, when this couple comes out of the blue and decide that they want pictures of her sitting on the landing on the left, She poses, he starts clicking away. Had to laugh.
Farokh > Not great graffiti, but the state of the car matches the state of the graffiti.
Farokh > McDougall Lane, in Toronto, is home to all kinds of graffiti. None of it is depressing, and most is magnificent art.
Farokh > Rush Lane: Conrad Black in fighting form.
Farokh > Rush Lane: Just terrible use of the medium, and yet, the 4 central items seemed to stand out. You decide what they are.
Farokh > Rush Lane: who is this man? All I could think was the amount of work that went into making this stunning image.
Farokh > Toronto: pillars supporting the bridge running above the ravine. The privacy created by the bridge and the canopy of trees provides ample time for the creation of the graffiti. Pity it is not more beautiful.
Farokh > Toronto: a bit of a bender. Feet supporting the bridge above, all covered by graffiti. A bit depressing.
Farokh > I was walking in Barcelona, way off the beaten track. This area is not on the tourist map. I came across some more graffiti, broken down buildings.
